JFK's assassination and funeral.

Yep... I remember the walk on the moon, too. My parents allowed us to stay up until 2am to watch the ENTIRE thing LIVE.

MLK's speech... nope.

There was a real "hubbub" (tv-wise) over when Patty Hearst was finally tracked down and arrested.

Then there was the 1972 Olympics in Munich with the massacre of the Israeli athletes.

Speaking of Olympics.... the "Dream Team" of the USA Hockey team is another special TV event.

Sports brings many tv events.... Secretariat... 1969 World Series and the NY Mets...

How about the night the Berlin Wall came down!!! That was AWESOME tv. Along with Tiananmen Square... what DRAMA.

Ronald Reagan's funeral was also momentous tv.

Does this help?

Everyone is entitled to my opinion.

The first real murder on live T.V. Jack Ruby shoots Oswald while being moved from one jail to another...First shuttle exploding just after launch...Another shuttle burning up on re entry...

The first thing I rem is when that rocket ship to mares exploded. it killed 8 people and one was a female teacher. (sorry cant rem the name of the ship) Another thing was when Carter was elected president. I was very young then.
