at this time, I carry no torch, however someone is STILL carrying one for me, even though he has a girlfriend and all and he makes it no secret either.....go figure.

Not exactly carrying a torch, but I had a boyfriend from over 50 years ago, and we both knew it wouldn't work out long term and I sent him away.
We went our own ways, he married and had two daughters, I married and I'm now a grandmother.
But he was a special person and probably my "best friend" - would love to be able to meet amicably without our spouses being concerned, just to catch up and to know that there are no hard feelings.
Gotta be me for her. Easy come said baby easy go, just goes to show, that you just weren't meant for me, n that I never meant much to you... So stupid wanting to cling to something you know full well is not right, but the heart feels, not thinks. =(
