Can any of you ladies tell me what kind of a moron (me) wears new flats to work !

Question: And what do you all use to break them in? They rub the back of my heel raw, so I use a bandaid...but it seems like I should just deal with the pain so my skin will toughen up.

(YES I know this is in the wrong section...but there are only teeny boppers in the fashion section)

Experience is the best teacher--bet you won't do this again. I sometimes wear shoes around the house to break them in. Try wearing them with sox around the house. That will make your foot slightly bigger inside the shoe, and stretch them a little.

Suggest keeping bandaids in your purse at all times. Keep an old pair of shoes at work "just in case you might need them." It is better to wear bandaids than deal with the pain. You are only inviting blood to ruin your new shoes, and infection to your skin. One bandaid can save a lot of grief. I nearly always have problems with sandals--the straps can cut into my feet. Flip-Flops can do that too. Hate those toe thingies.

If your shoes continue to be a problem, shoe repair shops can stretch them.

Good luck with your new shoes. Thanks for BA! Kitty Report It
