Why do we say "Blue" when we want to express loneliness, sadness etc.?!
Question: Is blue such a sad colour??
Wouldn't it be more suitable to say "dark brown"?

I think if you're feeling sad, it should be black. Blue is the color of the deep blue ocean or the sky, which both are beautiful. Black on the other hand is dark and gloomy. Perhaps gray could be another color that represents sad.
Other colors:
Green: Envy/Nature
Red: Love/Passion/Wild/Fire
Yellow: Cowardly/Illness
White: Pure/Heavenly
Purple: Creative/Royal
Orange: Danger
Brown: Dirt/Dull
Pink: Femininity
I'm not sure...I think blue in all its different shades can be both happy and sad...

I don't know why we say blue, i like blue and it is a lively color. Well, for me loneliness sadness is gray.
Blue is more like holiday, Mediterranean,Aegean Coast...
Red is absolutely passion.
Rainbow is open mindedness and diversity.
And i hate dark green,it reminds me of bad things.
But pistachio green or leaf green is zen.
Dark Brown reminds me of taking a Pooh. As for blue it sounds like a color thats relaxing but then I think of a island surrounded by blue skies and blue water. A sad lil island with no people on it but you. Aw so sad..

When class starts, the colour is green because this is the colour of the walls of the room
