kind of. i don't know about the bible example....but i have 2 kids....so that's what i do....feed the big one, feed the little one, change a diaper, do their laundry, feed them again, play legos....cuddle, change another diaper, get the big one milk....yep, all day every day. i'm a caring machine.
my friend told me i care to much about others and not myself. it's true there is such a thing as being too nice. you need to love yourself before you can truely love anything or anyone else. people must learn to take care of themselves but it's nice to put others first
Well, technically, I am a machine. I'm an extremely complex (probably more complex than necessary, knowing the hodge-podge nature in which natural selection works) machine composed of nano-bots (nanological robots - my cells). My life functions, including my conscious experience, are fully explainable in terms of the various interactions of these naturally occurring, relatively inefficient nano-bots.
But I'm certainly not very caring. I only care about my own life and well-being, and that of a very few select family and friends, especially my brother. Other than that, I prefer others not to die, but I don't lose sleep if they do anyway. And I suspect most people are like that, but simply refuse to admit it to themselves and others because they've been socially programmed to think that being realistic is unacceptable.
