Take your sweet time (say weeks or months) in pulling away from them emotionally and then slowly breaking up with them, making it so bad that they have to almost literally scream at you to get an answer as to what the h**l is going on and if things are over or not. OH, and during the break up, make promises like 'we will always be friends,' even though it's not true. AND, lie to the person during this whole time and cheat on them, blatently denying it even when caught red handed, and telling them "it's just me. You did nothing wrong."
I had all of this happen to me last year and it was horrible! It was the worst way anyone has ever broke up with me.
Send someone to do it for you and have them tell the breakee that the breaker couldn't even stand to look at them one last time.
