I doubt Mickey Mouse is running it as I feel sure he would have a much better idea about how a Q&A site should be run.
It appears to me that someone in the Yahoo Ivory Tower had a thought (I assume they can think) and said "Lets start a Question and Answer site for our loyal subscribers", and hey presto there it was.
I wonder if any of those at Yahoo who were involved in the setup of YA bothered to look around at the many other Q&A sites that are on line and look at their good (and bad) points. Neither do I expect they actually sought the opinions and suggestions of long serving and respected Q&A site subscribers at ground level.
If they had, they would see what was needed on a site of this nature and come up with the goods.
Having said that, the majority of those who subscribe to YA are genuine, caring people who do their level best to help those in need.
I will also say that Yahoo Answers has a very big potential to be a top notch question & answer site, if only they would take an interest in it, which does not appear to be the case at the moment as most of the functions here appear to be automated and that is absolutely no good on a site of this nature. It must be a hands on cooperative between those who have designed and run it and those of us who subscribe to it.
