No in my experience I have found that people change all the time and when you are together you kinda change the same when you are apart you change differently. Things you both relate to do not have the same meaning and when you finally do get back together it quickly falls apart.
No never. If the person is not here when you want or need them there's not much point is there. The whole point is that you are there for your partner when they need you. It may work if it was a one off thing like he had to go away on a business trip for 2 weeks but I think anything more than that would be unacceptable.

I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It's hard, but if you're meant to be with this person, you would do anything and everything to make it work. You need total trust, honesty, patience and respect for each other. Always keep a sharp mind and an open heart. Praying also helps.
