What is the easiest way to quit smoking and succeeding ??!

Question: Well Clo, I have two answers for you. (Good morning by the way)
1- My mother finally quit smoking at the age of 43. She was diagnosed with emphysema at age 38, intubated at age 41, and went on the c-pap at the hospital at age 43. It was the c-pap that made her quit. She said she felt she was drowning in air. She died on June 26, 2003, 3 days before my son's 4th b-day.
2- Being diagnosed with cancer and emphysema made my mother in law stop at the age of 73. (On her birthday, March 3rd two years ago) She died on March tenth.
Seems to me death is a definite success story, as I still have not quit despite watching two women very close to me suffer. If you figure it out...let me know hun.

alot of will power

hi stop bying them and use gum etc good luck Hugs

smoking is not so much the "buying of cigarettes" its not that easy..theres people who can just put them down and quit and others who get Jone's real bad. i had a Friend who quit smoking but even after ten years of quiting he still though he needed a toke after he had a good meal or making love haha. part of it is just habit..your missing something thats why people who quit chew gum or eat candy just to do something..try cutting down on one cigerette a week and chew that cigerrtte gum...do it for your famliy sweet if not for yourself. good luck

My husband had smoked for 20 years and he one day said no more and quit cold turkey. Threw away the ones he still had and said enough is enough. Good luck!!!

I did it with hypnotherapy.

Almost 2 weeks now!!!

Get mad sweetie! I always get what I want when I get pissed and it works for making bad habits go away too! My anger motivates me to handle anything that needs to be dealt with. Good luck!

I have been battling this one awhile...I will quit up to 9 months at a time....and when stress hits..I smoke rather than take "medication"......So I am clueless....
Chantix worked awhile for me...
Peace.

light up Pez's instead ... the sweet acrid scent will permanently divert your attention away from messy cigarettes.

If you give me $ 5,000.00 I will gladly buy you your first month's supply.
