That's not where I got it.I don't drink creek water unless it's a must then I boil it first.
I do now....
AND that you can get beaver breath from eating beaver.
you can catch a lot of diseases...the animals poop and pee in and near water contaminating it, they bathe in it and there are lots of tiny microorganisms in the water along with worms that cause diarrhea, stomach cramps etc. thats why people are told to boil their drinking water

I think the better question is who is foolish enough to drink creek water? I have lived near a creek my whole life and as children we played in it but I tell ya what we never drank it or actually went under the water, more like splashed around and looked for neat rocks. Thinking back on that I would never do it again because if you live where I live all creeks run through farm land which would mean all the horses, cows, bulls, all could be peeing and pooping in it.

I know that from a first hand experience. I was rafting up in Michigan, i tipped and drank some water. I don't think i have ever been that sick before.
Never heard of it...I have been camping & drinking creek water for yrs...I never heard of it or caught it...
My Beaver Fever isn't caused by creek water, I was born with it.
Did not know that---but I think I am safe...it has been years since I drank from a creek.
