If this is all there is, why do we ignore its greatness?!

Question: A subtle question, a bit sneaky, waiting to see if the point is ignored, that 'this is all there is'. Many catch a glimpse there is much more than 'this', if 'this', is what linear rationale thought lets us see as daily life. So why we ignore the 'greatness' of what can be experienced, is hard to answer fully. But maybe the 'how' we ignore, that could be more useful to explore. It appears we largely ignore what we are not able to perceive, or at least conceptualize. It is said that as we refine our nervous system, we refine our perception, and then we are able to perceive more, until infinity can be seen in a grain of sand. Then it may be more clear as to why we don't develop to perceive more, for the world would run differently if people actually saw each other for who they are, as opposed to being objects. The businesses would run differently for people would less interested in being part of cold bureaucracies. Politicians would be less able to spin the facts, in front of those able to perceive more clearly. And there would be a little less ignorance and ignoring of the existing greatness and that which could be created together. Enjoy the process.

Because no one wants to believe that there isn't more out there. It's what keeps people striving for more.

I'm too busy getting bombarded with the stress of it all.

we get all caught up in the nonsense.

we are ignorant...

what... did you bang your head in the shower?

all of what? choice of music?

Because we are humans.

EXACTLY!!!!

...I don't think it's so much a matter of ignoring greatness as it is not recognizing it...greatness often comes in small packages

because even the concept of greatness has limits as any human concept and we can't help think beyond them...

Because with all the things I've seen in my life, there has got to be more than this.
