Erectile Dysfunction billboards....appropriate or not?!
Question: I was listening to something on the radio about erectile dysfunction billboards that have just recently been erected :)
They were complaing that its inappropriate that kids see billboards saying "Want longer lasting sex"
Do you agree its inappropriate. Most people who called up said it was innapropriate because children see it.
Children have to learn about sex anyway.

APPROPRIATE.children need to be exposed to all the facets of sex.the more knowledge they absorb the better partner they will be ,when the time is right for them.
I think it's appropriate to advertise for the medication, but by bringing sex into the ad...not so much.
All a pharmaceutical ad has to do is portray the condition, and show the product for the "cure". By using the word sex on such a large billboard they are truly making it more than just an ad for medication, and instead selling sex.
I guess what I'm trying to say is ads for ED medication are appropriate, ads using sex to sell them are not.
I see no problem with it. We see billboards for 'feminine hygiene' products etc. so why the fuss over a legit condition..
I don't approve of feminine hygiene products either being advertised in my face! A little modesty is much more sexy.
appropriate...I think the real question is are people too overly sensitive about things such as this.
I agree with Andrea H. In the "Bob" commercials all the women are giving him the "I want you now" look.
My 8 year old son asked my just today what erectile dysfunction is, as it is a little overplayed on TV. I told him the truth, and then he asked me if I could order him some. Disturbing!
