Oh gosh, it is SO great to be in love, and i have had that experience before, and the pain that goes with it. But yah i think id go with the "loved and lost" because being in love is so great and worth SOOOOOOO MUCH!!!

I think it is better to have loved and lost.

Never loved at all...
I wouldn't be going through what I am at the moment.

If I hadn't loved I wouldn't have my daughters -- I can't imagine life without them. Besides, my ex has turned into such a loser.
Fo me it's better to have loved, because I have two great kids and lost, because I don't have to put up with his sorry @**

A smile in the past and a tear in the future is better than to have never smiled at all. A memory of love is never lost.

i would say loved and lost but i was pretty happy when i was a kid and never loved anyone yet!

It's better to have loved and lost if the loss results from an illness or tragedy rather than a person walking out on you.

It is the most painful when the end is the other person leaving you and knowing that person is still there, but not belonging to you any longer. Then it's better to not have had love altogether.

William,

Look at it from the positive side of that statement.

"It is better to have loved ... " -- Love is better, a lot better in fact, than never having ever felt that love in the first place.

If you focus on the negative side of that loss, you must turn it around and use it as a positive motivator to regain that feeling.

For those that have never been in love, they truly have no idea of the glory, the pleasure, or the totality of the experience that you've shared.

Yes, it is ALWAYS better to have loved and lost then to have never loved at all!!!
