Can you get evicted. . .?!

Question: For getting a cat and not telling your landlord, even though I already paid one freaking pet deposit? Why do I need to pay 600 dollars for two animals?

guess it depends on what it says in your lease... you can, but it would be crazy if you are a good tenant that pays on time. That is difficult to find nowadays.

I agree that one pet deposit should be enough... it is the one bad apple that ruins it for the rest of us!

That's a possibility if your lease says you are only allowed one pet.

Read your lease. I had a similar problem when I got a second cat. My land lord wanted me to "add" to my pet deposit. I said I'm wasn't going to because my lease didn't say how many pets the "pet deposit" covered. He said that if I didn't he could evict me, I said go ahead and try. My friend is a lawyer and said his "lease" was too broad and didn't go into detail so he wouldn't be able to evict me because of that. If you lease says you can only have like one or two pets with a pet deposit for each then you may be in trouble. But if it says you have to pay a pet deposit for animals on the property then that's too broad and you can fight it. Good Luck.

Read your lease, the guys above have the answers to your question,,,

yes if you refuse to pay it might differ depending on where you live but we are under new management and there are alot of tenants refusing to pay and getting eviction notices

I won't tell...I promise
