Yes. I don't remember to give gifts. I give gifts the way water flows in a river, constant and strong.
However, as stories go I will tell you one of how I sent multiple gifts to a person who in turn refused them all and forced me to have them all picked up. They are gathered all around me including one set of gifts hat never was mailed.
Can you imagine the looks on the postal people's faces first when those packages were mailed and them week later when all of them were returned.
There are two sides to everything. You can be stingy and never let the other person know just how much you care, or you can always be giving the person gifts and have them thrown back in your face like daggers to your heart.
It I risky giving a gift or not.
I will never end up like this guy but he will never end up like me either. His roses will die and be gone. The memory will be that the court made him do something. My memory will stay around as I do not regift and it will remind of what it felt like first to give and then to have to take things back.
This is part of what I mean by actions do not always speak louder than words.
His wife wanted gifts.
My friend wanted me.
Both he and I failed miserably but in opposite ways.

No I forget, or fail to see the importance at the time. (apparently)
