What type of flattery do you like to give and receive?!

Some kind of flattery that would inflate my ego... I like to give tough love to my friends
I give flattery when it is true, I dont just hand it out to do it. I have a hard time with people giving me compliments, I never know what to say and just saying thanks seems a little goofy

True genuine flattery is what will come from me. I'm not going to pump someone up with BS. I like to be treated in the same way. I don't need flattery to make me feel good about myself. :)

But really..I hand out compliments which are real/heartfelt, not empty. You either deserve it or you don't get it. I do not like getting them in return..I never know how to react so am left with "Well, thank you very much..now change the topic.."

I like to flatter my fiance with praise as I really do mean what I tell her when I say she is beautiful, has a sparkling personality, is a great cook, among other compliments I love to give her. She also compliments me quite often too and she knows that I appreciate it.
Sincere flattery is always welcome as well as being sincere when complimenting someone else.
Most people can recognize phoniness.

I get all awkward when I receive them, though and I know I shouldn't get embarrassed but I admit that I do!
