There are three kinds of lies, Lie's, White Lies and Malicious Lie's.Some people lie to boost their image and their own self esteem they seem to do it without really thinking, I know many people like this,white lies can often be told to protect someone from pain and hurt sometimes it's necessary to tell these lies personally I find them acceptable, I could go into scenarios but I wont bore you,the third kind of lie I hate I can understand someone lying to get themselves out of trouble that's instinct, but when someone lies to stir the pot and cause hurt, humiliation, pain, whatever trouble,that I will never understand.

Why they lie is beyond me. I have a sister in law that lies everyday when the truth would be better. What even makes it worse is she is 59 years old.

no. some people lie to make themselves seem better. or they have a better story than the next person. that really annoys me.
People lie. It was hard for me to accept for years but then I learned to weigh the consequences of the action and as long as they are not life threatening I accept it and move on.

My ex was a pathelogical liar and I continued to "believe" everything she said because I was stupid and in love with her (or so I thought at the time).

I hate being lied to and it makes it very hard to believe them. My dad says some ppl tell so many lies they get to believing it themselves.

Just about everyone who has answered this question are liars.
Yes i do like being lied to....but there is a limit. The little white lies that keep me happy are what i like.Its the "do i look fat in this"...partner "no ofcourse not" kind of lie that keep me and everyone else from falling into self pity and depression. Then there is the other lies , the pointless ones that don't keep you happy, the ones that do quite the opposite. Everyone lies to protect other ppls feelings. Its a fact.

I do not like being told lies. People sometimes do it because they just can't help it. Some do it because they don't want someone to know the truth because they might get in trouble. Some don't tell the truth because they don't want to hurt someone's feelings. And, some do it because they like making up things.

Nobody likes being lied to, although it depends on the nature of your relationship with the deceiver. If you hardly know them, it's easy to get over it, but when it's a close friend or relative or a life partner, it feels like betrayal.Sometimes we set ourselves up for it by trusting too easily or inappropriately, or by having very high standards, which others can't meet. I tend to go more by behaviour than words as I get older and I've learned to lower my expectations of others too.
i hate people who tell lies but if we think more on it then u will understand,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,!
