Will you teach your own children abstinence or about birth control?!

Question: I think that it will be a little bit of both. I want her to know the consequences of having unprotected sex and I want her to respect herself enough to wait until she's with someone who respects her and loves her for her, not just because she's a she.

I taught them both

Have a great day ?

I don't have kids, but if I did, I would teach them about both.

Both. I want them to know what birth control is and to have a choice if they decide to make that leap.

I will teach them both, If I have children

I taught them that if they are not going to abstain, then use birth control

I think that was close

I taught both my kids the whole gamut. The good, the bad and the ugly. Sex is not a dirty thing, but it is a gift to be shared between two people who care for one another. It is not a 'notch on a bed post.' It should be fun, not a chore, but it carries great responsibility.

I have all boys...I have taught them both.
I have encouraged them to wait until they have found someone special and if they do make that decision to use protection. I am an OB nurse and see very young kids becoming parents everyday. I share that with my boys in the effort to make them think twice. I have also made it very clear that they will be held responsible for any children they may have and how that would impact their lives at this time. So far, so good!
