As a taxidermist, I realize it is not for everyone. But I use the preserved skins for my artwork, and work better from real life than photographs......

No not weird, we had a lot of stuffed animals in our home growing up. If I could afford the training I would become one, it pays a heck of a lot (in Canada anyway)
Yea, freaks me out anyway, especially when it's not a wild animal, like when people get their pet dogs stuffed after they die, like some woman who did that and had a glass coffee table with the stuffed dog inside it, not that's weird x a million

Taxidermy is fine just as long as you don't use your subjects for sex aids.
I used to babysit for a taxidermist and he had this fox stood on it's back legs wearing a waistcoat and it had a monocle over it's eye and it also had a walking stick,it did look pretty cool but I felt bad when I thought about it being killed just for this reason.
Yes it's weird and not ok with me. Would you stuff people too if you were a proud cannibal or something? It's very strange. Especially when they stuff pets. I mean, would you stuff your best friend too because you couldn't let go? Weirdos!

I remember when I was a kid my uncle made a chickens foot move by pulling the tendons in its leg. I played with it after that. I wouldnt dream of giving something like that to a child. So the question proves how much people have changed in a few years. It used to be fashionable to stuff dead animals Now its looked on with disgust. I agree its place is in the past as it is as wierd as a chickens foot
