I wrote a letter to my husband in prison... I think he's disappointed with s!

Question: I wrote in some of the following sentences :

*"If you want to be living life like it's a ***** and not caring about
anyone nor yourself and treat life like it's cheap, then I don't
want to continue something that is only going to cause
nothing but pain that is unnecessary. I'm not impressed"
(how would you interpret it)

*I'm not even going to go the "but you promised you would"
and the "but you said you would" way, I knew better I knew what
I should've expected".
(how would you interpret it)

"What if you have children in the future ? Would you like them to be without their parent"
(how would you interpret it)

"Is being locked up what you want out of life ?"
(how would you interpret it)

I'm only asking how you would interpret these sentences,
are they offensive ?
I'm not looking for advice on whether I should leave or not..
thanks

Of course he is disappointed, but honestly people in prison aren't thinking about their families and the real consequences when they go out and mess up like that. Maybe he needs the wake up call (that's what the letter sounds like) to make him get his act together when he gets out.

he's not disappointed.. its his boy freind thats disappointed.. you are sending letters to the guys biych.. yhink about it.. your bf has a bf in there and gets man handled every day in the shower..

Yes they sound a little offensive. I guess your hubby must have an aggressive personality seeing he's imprisoned now. And he must be a macho-like person.. then what you've written in your letter even if they're not intended to offend, I am afraid will be interpreted as offensive and ignoring his firm belief in himself as a husband and a parent.

Sounds like you're giving him an ultimatum either he straightens out or you're gone. & no, they are in no way offensive, it's obvious you're concerned about your future.

If I was in his place I imagine that I would be feeling pretty depressed about where I am and the last thing I would want would be a lecture about what kind of person I am.

What he needs now are words of encouragement and to know someone cares about him. Try being a little less critical and a bit more loving in your words.

They are honest if anything.

The questions you asked are realistic, he may be mad because he's never had to come to terms with himself & youre coming at him strong. However, you forced him to look at the harsh reality of it. Don't be worried you're doing him a big favor. Once he ponders on the topics and realizes what he wants, he'll thank you( or at least he should).
But if you care and you want to be there for him, then express that so that he doesn't think it's a "F**k You, I'm done" letter.

ur 1st line as per me would mean::: that u wouldnt want to continue with him (whether its a relationship or wot, i dont know, but its sounds that way) as you feel that it will cause u nothing but pain which ur totally unprepared for

2nd : ur expecting nothing coz u already knw what ur in for

3rd:: this one's pretty clear, as in one of the parent that's "he" would be/is in prison, & the kids (if he plans to have any) would really be in a bad shape without one parent.

4th : : this line is sacarstic, coz u knw he didnt mean for wot he did.......& moreover who'd be happy being locked up?!!

ur very 1st statement was THE most vague statemnet i have come across, diff ppl wld interpret it in diff ways....
