If Bill Clinton created 25,000,000 jobs to Bush's 7,000,000 why do people de!

Question: Economically he was the best this country has ever had and we could have him again for free.

Answers: Economically he was the best this country has ever had and we could have him again for free.

I can't read too much into the minds of haters, but I would offer that even during the Lewinsky scandal, Clinton's approval ratings were far better than Bush's right now. He was an economic whiz and his enemies resented him for it. Hence the spotlight on his personal life, even when people like Dole and Gingrich were caught in their own personal scandals. The Lewinsky report became GOP sponsored, tax-supported porn....

EDIT: The "Contract with America" was never fully fulfilled, though it gave Gingrich the momentum to launch the "Republican Revolution" which only lasted 12 years. The middle-class abandoned the GOP in the 2006 elections, after the tax cuts failed to deliver, the economy and housing market nose-dived, and many corporations began outsourcing their jobs overseas. They believed the GOP abandoned them, essentially.

Because they focus on the Lewinski incident

I think maybe all presidents need a BJ every now and then, if it's going to be as effective as Clinton's was

I liked Bill Clinton. I HATE bush. He ruined the economy. Especially the housing market. My dad had to quit his business that he's owned for 19 years because no one was buying the houses that he was building so he didnt' get paid

I am with Foo Foo on this one. Too many people focused on his personal life and not what he was doing for the country. The economy was great under him, and then Bush came in and completely destroyed it.

You obviously know nothing about the economy or how this government works to believe that any president can create jobs. What Clinton did was similar in nature to what FDR did, he got rid of the high paying jobs and people had to take lower paying work to survive, meaning two people in a houshold had to work to make ends meet. This added to the employment rolls, but not to the tune of 25 million as you propose.
He also was not the best this country ever had, not by a long shot. When they talk of the budget being held and spending stopped to balance the budget, another lie,as Bill Clinton raised taxes the highest amount as any president in history, and was spending money like a drunken sailor. It was only after Newt Gingich and his "contract with America" got elected and controlled the money from congress, that the economy and the defecit spending stopped.
Please. tell the whole story as it happened, not just the parts you like.
It was also Bill Clinton that pushed and signed NAFTA, and pushed to get the United States under the control of the WTO.

Alec: You're right on some of your points and I can't argue
most, but, the contract worked well during the remainder of the Clinton years, and it was Bush that stopped the idea of the contract. His tax cuts never actually reached the middle class, in fact theere in Ohio, our taxes actually went up. Bush stopped many types of payment to the states, and Ohio had to raise about everything to make up for the loss, so we were worse off than before the cuts.
But, back to Clinton, any time they say he was good for the economy, that's propaganda and not true, as it was Gingrich that controlled the money, in spite of Clintons objections.
