All the time...even if I think it's a waste of my time, it may not be a waste of time for them...older people need help and sometimes are too afraid to ask for fear others might think badly of them...

well im a freshman in highschool and my friend has put in over 35 hours. i havnt put in a single one. but i know someone who gradutaed last year with almost 100 hours and i was simply amazed by why someone would wanna do it that much. i really dont mind it but i would pick other things over it.
I do every chance I get... To volunteer you should not be looking for return on investment... Knowing that you done some selfless act of kindness should be reward enough. Your reward will be not here on Earth. If you do not believe in the riches in heaven..then why should you care about helping others..other than it being the right thing to do.

I don't think you wasted your time. You are a good friend and that in itself is invaluable.
well, i help someone if i really have time and once it's done, i'm satisfied with what i did...why do you help if you find it to be a waste of time?
