Even that i can't stand, I'd much rather spend a week in London than go abroad and join all the stressed out tourists piling on the pounds by stuffing their faces with stuff they don't even know the name of.

we have a 2 week main and 3 or 4 long weekends away with the yorkie..the rest spent at home .. decorating and gardening etc..
Varies from year to year and the length of each holiday.
Last year we went to Australia and NewZealand to visit friends and family and were away for over 2 months.
This year, we've just come back from 4 days in the Malvern Hills (birthday treat); in April we're gong to Madeira for 2 weeks, in May we're staying with friends on their boat at the Crick Boat Show, June we're going to the Italian Lakes by coach, Beginning of August a coach trip to the Military Tattoo in Ediburgh for 3 days, August we're taking a narrow boat to the National Boating Festival at Wolverhampton - that will be about 10 days in total.
None depends I have to save to take my lot we do have trips away and abroad every couple of years xx
Last proper holiday was to Greece in 2003... but am going for 20 days to south Africa this year so that kinda makes up for it!
So one every 5 years in answer to ur question!!
I don't go away very often because I prefer to be at home.
