If people don't want to shave that's their business UNTIL they start wearing swimsuits, Daisy-Dukes. tanktops, sleeveless dresses/blouses, skirts, shorts, etc.
Maybe you could tell her that there are signs on all pools prohibiting excess body hair.......get her date to do it, but I don't know that there's a subtle way (?)

I think you should delicately approach her about it. For personal hygene problems. Unless she's like very religious ins ome way or like she comes from a foreign culture. Like is she french? If she's an average american girl then tell her her friend you think she should shave her armpits for hygenic reasons.Plus they'd feel way better without hair.
