Why on earth would yahoo object to this question?!?!

Question: Yesterday I posted a question asking what cute of funny thing your kid did today. How on earth is this question is violation of their policy?

Don't feel too bad as I and others on here have had the same thing happen. Some little troll probably reported you that has no life. Yahoo does not do a very personable job of explaining the reasons for violations either and are very vague just saying it's against their guidelines etc and please read etc. I agree that your question is innocent and that it's ridiculous that it received a violation and deletion. Yahoo is a lot less fun and people become timid about asking questions because of it and it's wrong.

Yes they do get silly sometimes. Thanks Report It

  • trolls probably reported it!

It is not. Somebody just wanted to be mean or doesn't like you.

    No idea! lol
I posted one that said "What did everyone think of "The Moment Of Truth" last night and it was deleted.

    idk...people report the weirdest stuff!

As long as it was a survey..its alrite.
Its trolls who love to report stuff.try appealing..works rarely though.

    Trolls honey.

oh tell me about it, last week i got a violation for asking what peoples favorite colors were! ive seen some pretty sick things on here and they hand out violations for stupid sh#t! its all a conspiracy

some one had nothing better else to do.you can always ask again..

ask them...maybe they have gone crazy...joking!

Because some weirdo with nothing better to do reported it for some reason. I don't think Yahoo reads the actual question getting reported. They just take the reporters word. That is just wrong.

    I don't really know....

maybe it was a mistake or something....

There are evil people lurking out there trolling your questions who report it and even if your question does not warrant a violation, YA will give it to you anyway.

someone must have thought that it was chatting..or them troll type people.

    that ridiculous. why delete that?

weird.. that seems like a normal question to me!! =]

If it is not an actual violation then it should be.

I would suggest that you should join a chat forum if you want to chat.

This forum is for people with serious questions who need or want serious answers.

Beats me! I asked 'when is your birthday' and it got removed. I don't know what in the world is so violating about that!!!!

someone must have reported your question..

Someone's being a turd head. chances are that noone at Y/A actually looked at the question before making a decision.

I once posted a question asking people what they were thankful for on Thanksgiving a few years ago, and it got removed.

For some strange reason, they don't like chatting here. I don't think that chatting is wrong because we are all human and that's the way we will be. The Moralists that report such questions are turning this site into a cold and impersonal stage for all in alignment with them.

What they have, outside of newcomers, are the embittered older users like myself who have stayed, and the older embittered users who have left only to be replaced by mindless abusers that have made a mockery of this site.

I suggest you send an appeal to yahoo answers abuse but don't get your hopes up. Your time would be better spent trying to teach physics to a dog.

they are training a new guy

I'm sorry about that. That's a good question. I would've looked forward to seeing all the answers. My kids crack me up everyday. I got deleted last week for asking people if they'd buy me a drink. Yahoo didn't say why, but I think maybe chatting? At least people aren't going around giving your answers thumbs down, like they've done to me.

    It's not bad at all....

someone might have reported it.some ppl are just hmmmmmmmm whatever.
