Should I be creeped out if someone keeps emailing me?!

Question: from yahoo answers?

Answers: from yahoo answers?

It really depends on if they are asking you for personal information. It may just be someone who is genuinely interested in you, but you never know online.

I agree, if you are creeped out by them,

BLOCK THEM. You don't owe them anything, OK?

Hang in there and good luck

Block them

A little.

it depends. what are they saying?

gold: hey! we're twins!

wow someone wants to talk to you? i would be afraid...very afraid!

yes, very much so

it depends on what they are saying to you.

you should be flattered....THEN creeped out after several messages.

find out who it is, then send them HATE MAIL!!! YAAAAAAY!!!

Do you know this person?? If not you might want to tell this person to buzz off.

Naw. You can just ignore them if it bothers you.

Well, yeah, especially if you don't know them or they are writing weird stuff!

if its that freaky guy asking to "swap" pictures
block him
wut a bastard...

i would have to do the old block a ruu on them !!

Well it depends, if it s a random freako, than yes, if its someone you sorta know, then no, but for your own saftey/privacy and if you have a bad feeling, block him/her..if you think there is a problem, follow your instincts, you are most likley right. Be safe!
?

Most likely, yes.

sure if it bugs you why not add them to your bulk mail or stop reading them

Are you writing back? If you aren't then it makes sense to be creeped out.. it's almost like harassment. If you have been writing back then it sounds like they are just trying to keep up the conversation..

If you don't know them then I would just block them

never talk to strangers, then you can be sure never to make new friends or meet your lifemate... stay away from people you don't know - they all mean you harm.

why are we all such a jaded and cynical society?

dude you should if you don't know that e-mail
but if you want to calm down just delete the messages^_^

Yes, everyone who uses the internet is some kind of stalker...

Sigh...it really depends on what they're saying doesn't it.....

If the way you should feel is not obvious to you, then I'm not sure what to say with so little information.

Stalked on line. You can stop this by selecting no im's and then change your Y/A profile. I have about four jerks I don't care to listen to.

The same thing is happening with me. But they're not writing anything bad, although it is a little creepy. Should you be creeped out? Well it really depends on what they're saying, but even so I'd be a little weirded out.

If you don't want them to block them.

I wouldnt be creeped out if it was just a friendly person who just liked my questions and answers and wants to mail me. But i would be creeped out if they were stalking or threatening me or sending some disgusting stuff. If youre that bothered though you can just click do not allow im in your profile then knowone can message you.

Depends on who it is...there are some creeps out there and most of them lie. Don't give out any personal info about yourself. If it is someone that just wants to be your pen~pal kinda friend and talk about superficial kinda stuff then okay but if it is a guy trying to get to know you (especially an older one ) block his behind!

It depends. I've been creeped out before by a couple people on y'a. Sometimes you just have to sever the ties with them.

well

first id you know them and you think that they like you then try to ignore them or simply reply in the politest way possible saying can you stop e-mailing me

second if you dont know them then dont reply to them, this could lead to even more mysterious e-mails

third i am sure you are creeped out if it is an unknown person,
but take my advice and ignore this stranger, and if possibleblock them, this will stop them sending emails

remember internet messaging can lead to bad things

I suppose that having someone email you repeatedly could be A) flattering, or B) scary. lol

The really nice feature of emailing through Y/A is that it's as though there's a really high, impenetrable wall between you and the person you're speaking with-- they can't see you and you can't see them, and there's a certain sense of safety in knowing that no one has your REAL email address. Also, if you check your Yahoo Answers email and see it's from someone you're not interested in communicating with, you can delete it without even reading it.

I guess I am making the assumption that this is what you are referring to-- the Y/A email format. If someone has your real email address and they keep trying to talk to you, and you don't want to read their mail or answer it, you may wish to just SPAM it.

There have been a couple of times when I've sent more than one email to a Y/A person and I do admit to being a little worried that they would think I was bugging them. On the flip side, I once offered to help a foreigner who lived and worked in the States, but could not read or write very much English. She not only took me up on my offer to help her out that day, but she started calling me more and more until she was calling EVERY SINGLE DAY with one request or another. Her requests usually required that I drive 30 min to her place, fill out paperwork for her, or read her mail to her, or run some complicated errands for her. Once, when I went to her place to help her move a box into storage, I discovered that she had EVERYTHING packed up and wanted me to help her move! That was the final straw. After helping her move, I told her I would not be able to help her anymore. She continued to call me. I finally had to stop answering her calls, even though I knew it probably hurt her feelings. After not hearing from her in over a year, she called AGAIN a couple months ago. I just hung up when I realized it was her. What's a body to do?

Maybe it is a person who is drawn by your irresistible charm and cannot help it, heh heh. But I guess I might be creeped out it if I had tried to make it clear that I wasn't interested in maintaining a relationship..Good luck :)
