Is flashing your head lights a single to slow down, particularly because police !
Question: I assume it is a universal signal, in Australia you can be fined.
I flash for speed traps & I am thankfull when flashed.
I think it is a form of mateship on the road every one feels good
for the give & take. I use flashing of the headlights to warn motorists to slow down for other dangerous conditions also.
A crash, water or livestock on the road any change in road conditions. If we where targeted & fined till we had to stop,
would others still drop there speed so quickly if flashed.
Something like that, any one got any stories of flashers!

...flashing your headlights once in New Hampshire, where I live, means a cop in a speed trap ahead and flashing them twice quickly means a moose, deer or other animal is either in the road or near the edge of the road...there are so many moose here in the northern part of New England that it's really important to warn others of possible collision...I have had a few close calls where I was warned before I saw the problem in the road...
It is the same here in America, and we can be fined here too.
I am from Canada and flashing your headlights (he he he) means pretty much the same thing. Speed trap or Bad conditions.
Also it means your brights are on @$$hole!

Not in all states, I've lived in Texas,Arkansas,Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri, they do there, but you can get a ticket for doing it.And believe it or not those dummies publish it in the paper when and where their gonna have the road blocks, HA HA, so if you get caught in one your plain stupid ! I know they don't do it in New Mexico, Oregon, California, Idaho, Washington, Arizona, and Nevada, as for the others I have no Idea.......I've lived there also.
It's the same here, and if you get caught you get a ticket.
