Why is it soo nice watching your pet devout his food?!

I guess maybe because eating makes most of us feel good, especially when we're hungry, so it's good to know that your little pet is getting some enjoyment out of life not just being stuck in a cage.
Now what is really nice is watching a non pet type of person develop a love for pets... I know I'm not that cute, but it would be nice if I didn't have to go to work every day, and I'd get to sit there and eat and be watched and held by you and petted, and adored... can I be your bunny wabbit? whatchup doc?...er nurse!.
With my cat, I am just ecstatic that I found a food that he actually likes!
When my puppy eats, it seems that she has no worries in the world and just happy to eat. It very soothing to watch her eat.
I don't know but I love watching my hamster eat too! I think its because you love your pet so much and they're just so adorable its nice to know that they are enjoying themselves [:

My husband and I have a Guinea Pig 'cause we live in an apartment and don't want to pay for a pet deposit (for a dog or something), and sometimes I give him lots of hay just to watch him tear into it, it's one of life's little simple pleasures for me... :) I guess I'll be singing a different tune whenever I have kids and they're making messes with their food everywhere, lol

I love watching my pet eat. Darwin is so cute.....the way he coils himself around the adorable little mouse to kill it......the way he unhinges his jaw to swallow it whole. It's particularly cute when he swallows them backwards .....you get to watch that little face disappear.
my dog inhales hers so I'm sort of concerned when I watch her thinking she might choke
