High-school class of '08 - anyone else think that prom sounds really lame?!
Question: I mean, you just sit around, don't you? Why would I pay for a dress, a ticket, and food I can't even eat (my school doesn't do vegetarian) just to sit around and waste time? It's the middle of summer, I could be running down my street like a freak.

I'm never going to the prom.
1.Waste of time.
2.Waste if money.
3.If i go to the prom,my date would probably want a limo.(Hell No!!!)
4.There is so much better things to do than go to the prom.
5.I DON'T DANCE.
6. I don't see any girl asking me to the prom.(even if they did i would say no.)

I am class of '07 and I didnt go because I didnt want to waste my money doing that. Instead me and my friends played some poker and I won money. Way better.
I never went to prom because I thought it would be lame and now I wish I would've. Go out to eat at your favorite restaurant and get pictures with all your friends. Be silly if you want. I'm sure you won't regret it if you go.
I graduated two years ago and I didn't go to either of my proms. Sometimes I regret it though. I feel like I missed out. Everyone talked about how fun it was.
man i've always thought i was the only person who thought that actually everyone i ever told that i thought prom was lame told me i was strange. i've always wanted to ditch prom go to a theme park go have pizza or go to a concert just do something crazy while everyone else is bored at prom. i totally agree with you a total waste of money!
I was adamantly against proms and formals all through high school after attending a winter formal when I was a freshman.
They are too boring for words, and I would much rather spend my money on something I would truly enjoy.
I do, there is no point to them at all.
