Do "real CSI agents" act calmly in real life when they see a dead body!

Question: Or are those "sweet spoken tv agents" a big fat lie ??

Answers: Or are those "sweet spoken tv agents" a big fat lie ??

After 12+ years EMS, I can tell you everyone on scene is not in the least bit upset.

Unless it's a rookie..then maybe. Especially after we got done making them do all the dirty work.
Honestly..you have to learn to separate yourself or you won't function.

lol! big fat lies!! has to be!! lol

when you see as much as they do, it's not a shock anymore

I know a sherrif that was called out on a shotgun suicide and he told me how they were joking that they would need a spatula or something to pick up all the brains

After you've seen a ton of dead bodies I would imagine that it's not that big of a deal to see one.

ppsssshh that show is all lies! reall detective would NEVER just pick up the evidence and put it down without gloves and even with gloves!

I'd say that after all the dead bodies they've seen they wouldn't get emotional unless it's someone they know.

They have to be professional and that includes staying calm.

Yes most of them detatch themselves. If you haven't seen the first 48 you should check it out. It's a real life CSI show.

My 'ex' acted dead every time i made love to her, at first i thought she didn't want to wake the neighbors, but then realized she worked night shift and i was just being selfish.

I would beleive that it would be part of their job to remain calm and collective when dealing with a body. It is their job and i am sure they get use to it.

Well, they're professionals. Most of them are used to it. It's tragic to see such thing, but they have to contain their emotions and be very calm about it.

No I am sure it is old hat to them. My brother is a regular police officer and he had to pick up pieces of a body when someone committed suicide by standing in front of an express Amtrak train at high speeds. He said there was body parts strewn around for 2 blocks everywhere. They were picking up pieces of flesh and fingers, etc. He act nonchalant about it, so I can only imagine how a CSI agent acts.
