What is colorless yet gets any color when poured into the water?!

Question: Water is colourless but it adopts the colour of its background. Likewise there are other liquids too which fall in the category of colorless but when poured into water become one with water and adopts the colour of the background. U fill water in a glass and look at it with pink wall in its background, u 'd find color of water as pink. This is illusion only..
