Have You Ever Served On Jury Duty?!

Question: If so, how was the experience? Opinions?

Answers: If so, how was the experience? Opinions?

Yes. Based on the resentment of the people I was with in having to take off of work (or be served a bench warrant and arrested if they did not show up), being paid a skanky $25.00 day rate, it scared me about the whole justice setup. How "fair and impartial" can we be if we are already resentful in being there to a person requesting a trial by jury??? Scary though, and reason alone to make anyone never want to commit a crime and to "be tried by their 'peers'" as our justice system is proud to say....

yes, it was alright

nope

never have

Yes but the one trial I interviewed for was for drunken driving and I knew the legal blood limit for the state so the opposing attorney dismissed me. A lot of waiting around but I do believe ti is our civic duty.

NO I wish! I wish they'd call me in for jury duty!

no, but i would like to

No, I haven't.

no ibut i always wondered what it was like

Yes and I loved it!! i hope i get chosen again sometime-most people i know don't like it but it was super interesting to me. I got picked to be on a jury for a guy who broke into and robbed a church...g-u-i-l-t-y!

Yes. It went by fast. Our case would have been a civil case, but it was settled before it went to trial

Yes twice ,but i tended to find the person guilty if i didn't like the look of them.

i get called in almost every year. so far i haven't had to serve on a jury.

I've been called twice but never chosen to serve. And I'm honestly not trying to get out of it by proclaiming prejudice.(I think the folks that do that are horriblly LAME AMERICANS!) I have a problem with allergies and if they would ban colognes and perfumes in the courtroom I'd be HAPPY to serve!

I think that they didn't call me up as a juror because a friend has a few DUI's so they reject me on the basis that I might be prejudiced against cops. Very untrue even though my experiences have been negative.... I have had reason to sumon the cops as well--

It's the best system we've got even if they are tards.....

called many times but have never been on a jury.... been in the jury box and released and was on a panel that was probably going to be sworn in after lunch but when we got back from lunch we were told that the case had been settled and we were released

One time when I was assigned to it, they settled the case just as they were to seat the jury - and I actually wanted to do it!

My husband served as the head juror (or whatever the term is) on a pretty big trial in our town. He was gone for 8 days and he said he enjoyed the process.

i wish, that be cool..i only did jury duty in school for some kind of project

I never have. I've haven't been picked yet
