Which was fine by me - but caused an uproar at the City Merchant Bank I worked for. My phone didn't stop ringing for about 3 hours,

Yep, I sure have; for five years in the Navy and fifteen more in the Army.
On those occasions when we were allowed to wear civilian clothing, they pretty much told us what we could wear and what we couldn't.

Dress codes are bollocks! When I was 11, I was invited to a birthday party. The invitation said 'smart casual' (I'm 29 now and I still don't know what that means). So I turned up in jeans and t-shirt, because that's all I owned, and everyone else there was wearing ball gowns. It was horrible! And a whole load of 11-year-old fashion fascists were ripping the piss out of me because I had the wrong kind of trainers. I will never understand why other people give a crap about what I'm wearing. At least I'm not wearing ug-boots... :-)
Yes.
No,I've been serious all the time
yes! at school bcuz apparently my camisole was TOO LOW ?! hardly!
No Problems For Me...!!
Well aren't you cute.
yes
Yes, I used to get in trouble for wearing shirts that were too low cut when I was in school...... but I say, "if you got it, flaunt it"..
Yea, my school is really strict. Now they even have a rule agenst PDA. It's lame.
i always dress too slutty. i do construction and apparently dressing slutty is not good there.
I just wear rag tags noooo problem.
why didnt the phone stop ringing?
No.!!!
Not really. I was a lily white, goody-two shoes who would never think of breaking the rules. And I definitely knew what to wear when I went out to work -- but I was the exception there because I was the best engineer they had and the one the clients wanted, so I dressed casually; all the rest -- if the code was enforced, so be it.
People always expct me to turn up as I wish and not follow a dress code although I own 2 sets of tails and several other formal suits,,
yes .....you should see the look on my employers face at the hospital when i turn up in these heels!
