When I was a kid it was a big deal. It was soooo delicious! I bought some recently and didn't like it at all. It was like eating sticks soaked in sugar. If you've never tried it, you should, just so you know. It's cheap and grocery stores have it sometimes.

You can often find it in larger grocery stores in the special Produce section. I have eaten it on many occasions. You have to remove the outer hard shell and chew the inner pulp. it is fibrous and has little flavor. Mostly it is just slightly sweet with little taste. But, everyone should have a chance to try it once.
