some know they are, most have no idea until they are told so like 50 times. Some people do it on purpose. Those are the worst.

I was told today that I'm rude and selfish. I was completely unaware but I think it's because I'm not selfish or rude.

Some do, but others don't have a clue. Some people are arrogant, smug and rude and don't care if it hurts your feelings.
A LOT acctually know it and use it to their advantage and for an excuse to act that way or not care what other people think of them, but some people just don't really think they are when people tell them they are, and even others are completely oblivious
