Smiths used to make them but Walkers bought them out, along with Frazzles, Monster Munch and a few others.

Originally they were just called Smiths Potato Crisps and the contained a little twist of blue greaseproof paper containing salt... Great.
It wasn't until their revial in the late Nineties that they were called Smith's Salt 'n Shake.
