yes in a ambulance on route to the hospital with a heartattack patent. someone had forgot to fill it before they went off duty.kinda sad to radio for another unit only a mile from the er.

yep, a policeman helped us and my mom lied to him sayin' that she borrowed the car to my uncle the night before and forgot to check the gas. thank god he bought it and didnt give her a ticket lol
no, but my wife pushes it, its like she forgets there is a gauge there for her to show how low she is =)
NO! I am VERY OCD about keeping the Tank with Fuel in it -- and making sure to fill it up when the tank shows 1/2 full. (But of course -- this is a SAFETY issue for someone who is SINGLE). I always check the gauge -- and I always fill up so that I NEVER run out of fuel on the road.
About eight years ago, just about this time of year, I did. Fortunately, I had my radio in the car and was able to call up another ham who was kind enough to bring me a gallon of gas that was enough to get me to the nearest filling station. Made all that work earning my ham radio license worth it, fer sure!
Yes but I was farther than that.
Only once, and it was the biggest fluke ever! I was just trying to get to the gas station when it ran out, so I had to coast the last couple of hundred metres. On the last turn of the wheels, I had pulled up right beside the bowser...
No, it's never happened to me. There have been a few times when I thought I came close to it before getting to the gas station. At least your husband didn't have far to walk.

All the time. You know the person you always see walking with an empty gas container to the gas station? That's me. When will I learn?
No, I haven't, but I was in a car when the left rear tire went flat. Then as we are pulling in to the gas station the damn thing blew up!!! Noone was hurt, but it scared the crap out of my brother,he was in the back seat!!! So now it's just funny!
once , thats hwo i found that my gas gauge was off a bit. But this is not near as bad as having a wheel fall of in the middle of the gas station parking lot try that some time!!!!!
Years ago, yes, ashamedly I did.
And really makes no sense because it costs no more to keep it full than it does nearly empty all the time. You're gonna' use it eventually.
I've not done that yet, and likely will not(21 speed hippie status)

Oh yeah. When I was a teenager I had this real junker of a car that had a broken gas gauge. I would run out of gas at least once a week.
Yes, lol once.
Luckily it has never happened to me.
