Question: I used to want to adopt another child or become a foster parent but now, my kids are spending more time away from the house with friends and I rather enjoy the alone time!
Is that selfish of me? I honestly don't think so....

No, it is time for some well deserved "me" time. Kick back and enjoy. You`ve raised 3 kids, you deserve it.

no it's not. i'm in the same situation. i did do foster parenting for many years on top of having 5 kids. i too am happy to enjoy my kids being older.

No, its not selfish at all. You have spent so much time giving your children what they needed that you forgot about yourself. Now that you have this time alone take advantage of it--focus on you. Maybe in the future you will be ready for another child. It doesn't make you any less of a person.

NO. my kids are 16, 14 and we started over, she's now 17 months. she is a blessing, but sometimes I think I must not have enjoyed my peace and sleep. Wait for grandkids
