Composition is nice - you nearly got it. But the little bit of land in the background is distracting. Need to adjust your viewpoint a litte.
Good eye for the subject matter.
It is too dark. It is also grainy which shows that you are pushing the camera to the limit. Very difficult lighting condition.
But practice makes perfect. Go and try againg.

i think its pretty cool it looks like a poster picture thingy i'd buy and put up in my place it would have looked better at sunrise or sunset though

Try using an exposure meter to get a better contrast.
