What do you do with someone who refuses to compromise?!
Question: If they are one of those people who must be in your life somehow (because of certain circumstances)...attempt to agree to disagree, and move on the best you can... But if it's someone you genuinely want and need in your life, try to figure out something...together (in that instance, I believe love will find a way).

then i just change the deal so that i get the advantage.
or, i'll threaten them and then just say i won whatever we're battling in.

just leave it alone and stop dealing with them all together.Leaving a person alone with their here bad attitude makes them more crazy than you going off at them and getting crazy etc.

Well standing your ground, would make sense to them I suppose. It might depend on the situation, if you don't have to deal with them, then it is easy to move along. If they can explain their thinking, it may be easier to accept where they got stuck. It can be tough when they think having it their way is a matter or 'truth', when it seems egocentric to us. Sometimes a person's position and identity are so intertwined, they can't let go of their viewpoint, to enjoy the view from another angle.

Compromise can be death. I guess it really depends on the situation though...
I don't like compromising, but here is what I do to deal with people like me ;) I try and give a basic deal that is quite agreeable ie. can I get my ear lobes pierced? (random example). Then I move on to 'how about 2 on each side?'. Then, if they agree, I move on to 'how about 3 on each side?', etc etc. ;)
