What is the difference between confidence and arrogance?!

Question: Arrogant people have a superiority complex and are OVERLY prideful. They talk "down" to people instead of talking to them. They're very condescending and always think that they are the sh*t. Confident people believe in themselves and are self assured but they'll never act like they're above anyone else. Arrogant people suck -_-

  • Confidence means you're sure of your abilities and whatnot, while arrogance places you above everyone else and that you are the best, ever.

Arrogance is wanting to show everyone how confident you are.

With confidence there is humility. With arrogance there is none.

if someone is confident they believe in themselves and don't consider others. Arrogant people think they are better than others.

    i like reals answer

who do you think that you are to ask me that question!

arrogance is just too overconfident. like rite now i am confident that my answer is correct. but if i went and told everybody that i was correct but i was really wrong it would be arrogance.

when you're confident everyone knows you're great on their own
when you're arrogant you tell everyone you're great, even when you're not

To me confidence means you have the smarts to back it up. Arrogance means you "think" you have the smarts, but have to prove it to others all the time.

Confidence has 10 letters and arrogance 9

arrogance is an extreme form of confidence

Confidence - knowing what you are doing but not showing off
Arrogance is showing off probably for nothing.....

having a butt hole and being a butt hole.

too much of confidence leads to arrogance. ...less of arrogance is reduced to confidence.

confidence is having self-esteem and realizing you self worth without having to prove it to anyone. realizing ur own potential and not being afraid to represent yourself in the best way you can. arrogance is being blindly sighted in ur own self and not realizing the potential of others over yourself.

confidence means believing in yourself and knowing you are capable of doing things. arrongance basically means being snobbish, being over-confident and that you're better than everyone else.

    Humility.

Confidence means you are aware of your abilities and are very secure in it. You are calm in bad situations or you move in a way that reassures that you know what you are doing.

Arrogance is when you are aware of your abilities and you want everyone to know it. You look down on others or even make fun of others who are not as competent as you. You rub people's face in your abilities. Sometimes it is to mask the fact you don't know what you are doing.

    Confidence is Obama
    Arrogance is Bush

I agree with Amethyst. Also, arrogance isn't just thinking you're great when you're really not. There are plenty of people out there who have done really great things or are super smart or whatever and are arrogant. Confidence is feeling sure of yourself in most situations, and trusting, believing and loving yourself no matter what others think. Arrogance is not necessarily feeling sure of yourself or even liking yourself. It's not always bragging or saying it out loud, either, but feeling like each of your own achievements tops those of others and thinking you can fix everything and do things better than anyone else without knowing for sure that you can. If you know through proof and past experiences that you can do something better than someone, that's not arrogance or confidence, it's just knowledge and putting it to use. Hope I helped.

Confidence is knowing and not worrying that others do, arrogance is trying to make others believe you are.

Confidence is attractive and arrogance is offensive

...confidence holds hands with surety and respect, while arrogance drags you by the nape of the neck and threatens you into submission

confidence occurs when you know u can do a specific thing n get positive result.
arrogance includes two things...one is pride and the other one is rudeness that generates from that pride.

Confidence is believing in yourself and what you do. Arrogance is thinking that what you do and who you are can do no wrong. There is a huge difference!!! One is good and one is very bad. Confidence is good and arrogance is very bad!!!
