Whenever a friend of yours is feeling down what do you do to lift their spirits?!

Question: I hop on a plane and fly to Texas.
I especially love hopping, because I am a bunny.
I don't mind the long flight ..... especially when I know there will be margarita's involved.
* smooch *

Make em laugh, of course.

I don't have friends.
Why do you think I'm on Y!A?

-.-

I try to make them laugh :)

usually try to make them smile tell them an inside joke that only we know.

get em drunk

buy them a drink

Just hang out and talk to them. If they don't want to talk about what's wrong act as if nothings wrong. It usually peps them up.

take them out to karaoke!

never fails :)

Take them to the candy shop, and let them lick my lollipop.

Make them laugh, take them out for a night out to have fun, listening to them whatever bothers them...

Remind them of the past time when they was happy.

I introduce to them a friend of mine named Mary Jane.

`I usally say stupid stuff that has happne to us in the pass.>> and usaly it will make them laugh>> or you can sing them a song even wen u sound horrible it will still make em laugh>>.you can give em a big hugg :-D

I give them spirits

Just talk to them and agree with whatever they say. Get all your girlfriends together and have a night out or a sleepover. Always works! get her out of the house! =]

Smoke em up.
Give em some Jager or Gold Schlager.
It always works for my best friend!

They usually tell me about their problems and I listen to them, because that's mainly what they want and ask for, and after that I come up with some suggestions and ideas.

I sing songs in very funny way.

I don't do anything. My friends are all emotionally independent and therefore do not depend upon other peopel to cheer them up. I suppose thats just the way most guys work, at least the guys that I hang out with.

When someone is down we just leave them alone to work through it on their own. Always they turn out to be a stronger individual by working through their own problems and finding their own solutions.

"What doesn't kill you makes you stronger."

i say "you know... some people out in the world are diseased and starving to death, and your feeling down why?... get over yourself drama queen."

I pray for them, after that:

If its a guy we go out and do something (ie. basketball)

If its a girl usually i am there to listen to them.

i write them a few heartfelt words to let them know i am thinkin of them......

I listen very supportively to their problem or concern, then offer a different perspective. I know if they can consider a different point of view then it'll be easier to get out of the emotion they're caught up in.

You should make them feel good and whoever mad them sad KICK THERE BUTT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I usually bring them a little "pick'er upper". :)
A little goodie bag with their favorite things, like chocolate, a good little uplifting book, a movie ticket to something they'd like to see (probably a comedy), or a manicure where the two of us go "just be girls". The key is DISTRACTION.

They say laughter is the best medicine. Give your friend a funny card, or go some where special with your friend.

My friends don't like to talk when they are feeling down so I keep them company. When they are ready to talk, I listen when they need me to, answer only when asked, pray with and for them and make them laugh. I also provide ice cream!

Well it really depends on the friend. Sometimes all they want is to be left alone for a little while to think things over. Other times they want company and fun to forget about whatever is bothing them. Flowers and a cute note always work too. xD Use your instincts.

i listen to them let them air whats upsetting them i console them i comfort them. sometimes a person just need a hug.and for someone to tell them it going to be ok.

Usually I will bring them a coffee or tea, tell them some jokes to help them relax - ok, a LOT of jokes... lol I'll give them as many bear hugs as they need and just talk to them. When my friends feel down I like to take time to compliment them. Any recent achievements, funny memories etc. - really, just remind them how great they are and how much potential they have! Sometimes it just takes someone actually verbalizing it to make you realize you are appreciated and loved!
