Champagne or wine. I usually do not drink alcohol but I do enjoy good wines with a great meal. I also like a good ale on occasion, but it makes me full.

Well if you go on the Internet. and check the preservative that are in wine, all beers and all alc, 's. I do not think you or any one would ever drink that stuff again. it's not the hops or ale, or soda water that kills a person it is what they put in to preserver it. that stuff is poison , poison kills. the food and drug has argued for years for them to put on the labels one day they might after it kills more people I feel sorry for you and all read for your self and good luck ( read & learn )
I don't drink ANY of those ... I drink Irish whiskey, neat (no water, no ice) when I want an alcoholic drink, and I drink Earl Grey with Double Bergamot iced tea with no sugar, cream, or lemon, when I'm not drinking plain black coffee ... and while that may make you think I'm a 'hard' person who likes everything 'plain' you would be very wrong. I just like my drinks plain ... but I like everything else to be complicated ... from wanting Ginger Ice Cream (it's really good when I can find it) to loving the bajillion 'basically Italian with a bit of Asian thrown in' types of dishes my husband cooks ... he was a professional chef, and he cooks wonderful stuff. He drinks his coffee with cream and sugar, puts sugar into his iced tea, and likes an alcoholic drink called a 'Seabreeze' when he's not having a pale beer ... we are different people who love each other totally, despite our 'opposite' drinking habits. Now, if only when we were at a bar, the bartender would give me my Irish whiskey and him his Seabreeze, everything would be fine ... but they don't, because I'm a woman and he's a man and the 'stereotype' is that women want 'sweet mixed drinks' while men want 'real whiskey' ... BAH. Oh, well ...
