It depends really.
Some married people are unhappy (thus leading to cheating, abuse, ultimately divorce, etc) and some are happy with being with their "soul mate" (assuming they are indeed so).
Some single people are unhappy being well, single, but some are happy just being unattached and able to find that one person.

niether are happy all the time, sometimes it sucks to be single and it also sucks when your married. so i choose either or niether.
