Question: For first time and second and third time offenders, I tend to let them off. But for recalcitrant cases, I get really hopping mad and I find it hard to forgive.

The answer is ... It depends ...
When someone completely and totally disrespects you, when they Burglarize, torment, mistreat or harm you extensively (or kill someone you love) -- I (like any normal Human Being) will STRUGGLE to forgive the person who did this to me ... and that is for sure.
When someone forgets an appointment, or any other little thing (like not calling) -- that is so much easier -- because we all FORGET things at times -- and that is for sure.
