I always love the book better than the movie! I'm sitting here now sorting through my new books on which one to read next.
I've read so many books and then when the movie came out, it was nothing at all like the book, so I give up on watching the movie. I'll take the book anyday!

Not sure why. Jurassic Park wasn't a bad movie, some of the Harry Potter ones are pretty close, and Flags of Our Fathers was close to the book too.

It's hard to portray words extremely accurate/precise on screen without making the movie beyond 2 hours.
I don't blame them, I think I would get bored too if I saw my favorite books on screen stretched out to where every detail is in it, but it's 14 hours long...
But I don't like how they cram it all into 1 hour 45 minute pieces with bad acting. So I usually just read books to get enjoyment.

usually the book.

Stephen King's "The Mist" movie was really damn close to the story except for the ending. Personally, the ending to movie was way cooler in my opinion.

like you-i read the book first and then i see the movie.
the movie is never gonna be as good as the book, because it doesn't follow everything that happens in the book,it skips a lot of important facts

because they can't give every detail the book gave i guess. i love books. i would rather read one than watch a movie. but i still like movies tho =)

well... Da vinci code was a failure, I agree w/ you
