Answers: aw im going buy an old one when the kids leave home...miss the coal fire , none in new houses today

A Big "Brand-New ' House

old.

Old houses are built with heart and workmanship. New housing is just cheap and nasty.

new!!!

new,, old ones often need resoration...

new who wouldnt? cheapskates?

I prefer new house built with old wood.

Old. Brand new doesn't have the same lived in feel that is special in an old house.

Old House because less toxins more likely to be better built

very old.

old ...i own a Victorian house ....deffo has more character

Old. They're much better built, and far more interesting! :)

..

An old home it has more class and actual wood.

New!

i like old houses better...it has a lived in and homey athmosphere that i love...new houses just feels ackward for me...

I have had both and they both have their downfalls.... When you have a new house built, you find that they dont build them like the older homes.. sometimes they cut corners, use cheaper material etc... Older homes altho old are sturdier, built better but still have their normal wear and tear problems as the house gets older. thats my opinion..

I live in a 100+year old house, they have their charm but there are things that need updating. And take some work. But mainly I like the older houses.

Old - they have more character and are built stronger.

old

Defiantly an old one. They were built when carpenters thought of their selves as craftsmen. Built with love, time, expertise, good materials, charm, but as for new ones, it's a money making game..slap it up, price it up.

studying to be an architect

i prefer a mixture of both simply because you get best of both worlds.

true?

I prefer an older house because the craftsmanship was more about sturdiness and lasting effects than those of today. Too many contractors take way too many shortcuts when building homes now which, in the long run, are costly to the homeowner.

old

I love those large older houses, like the old mansions, they're beautiful

Newly built house, where you can make things with your choice.

I like an old house. Ours was built about 1903. It had good "bones", i.e. it was structurely sound although all the plumbing and wiring needed to be replaced. The quality of the workmanship was so high and the house seems welcoming and cozy. I like the soft, rounded corners and cove ceilings; the attention to detail; the placement of the windows to catch the sun and the feeling the house was built with love.

Old, for the character, and they are better built

Always old

it should be my ancestor's old house with lots of memories

Old mine is like a spanish castle.
