yes, because we would actually have to take a healthy look at sex rather than what we have been doing (which is basically the biggest case of denial i have ever seen). A healthy approach to me is talking about sex with our children when they come of age rather than telling them "do have sex". Talking to teens about sex (from parent to child) in a medical and emotional manner, results in teens that better understand what sex is rather than turning it into some thing "dirty" or "bad". Almost all my friends who had parents that sat them down and went through STDs, past experiences and so on were the last ppl i knew to lose their virginity and i think that's is because it was so known to them that they really waited to be comfortable with handling all of the mess that comes with sex. I feel sex is as natural of an act as breathing but also as dangerous as holding a loaded weapon. It needs to be approached with care and responsibility. And in the same breath its one of the most exciting and beautiful expressions humans can make.

Well I suppose so - but that's because bigger things back then used to be covered up more, and there was less media to report about it.....
I think we still hear about things like rape, abuse and child molestation, and it is less of a shock but it is still very sad and people still are just as horrified to hear about it - the only reason we are less shocked about these things are because they are more out in the open - and they are more out in the open because we are used to hearing about them being reported.....
There is only a small time in which people watch the news every day, I would rather hear about the more important things rather than sex scandals - if you want to read about them go and pick up a Who magazine.....
Those censors, FCC, right wingers, religious fanatics, have NOT stopped anyone from being sexually repressed. They don't have that kind of power.

For example, the radical religious people, Islamic culture, usually have their hands around "there" as far as I observe. When I had first realized it, I was something between a kid and a teen, and decided to ask mum, she had told me it was because of the repressed sexual feelings. She also thinks their being so obsessed over girls' puberty and taking religious responsibilities is caused by that too. I agree with her.
Aren't crimes caused by impulses? And why is sexuality such an extreme impulse to become a crime? Because we repress it.
We send it to its room and tell it to shut the **** up. Then it becomes a runaway, screaming and also smashing the home. And the other homes in the neighborhood.
We should teach our kids that sex is natural and nothing to be ashamed of, and sexuality shouldn't be used-overrated-etc. We should teach them that being sexually attracted is not an issue, but activity must be done with someone that wants it. We should teach them the consequences.
These problems will be solved the day that people manage to see sex as a natural and pleasurable course of nature.
