What you need to do is this

Push the start button and walk away for a few minutes

It really is best that you start it and let it load at least 5 minutes

Like starting a car, don't start it and put it in gear within 2 secs
Let the oil pressure build and fluids to move

So let you computer wake up fully

You have a slower motherboard or NOT enough RAM

Life can't be that rushed that you can't let your computer load for 5 or 6 full minutes before you try to log onto anything

You are over-taxing your slower system

Just let it load and wake up fully

at least 10 minutes, I think there's something wrong with it.

two minutes*

it takes 12 hrs too start..........and another 12 hrs to turn off, what a day!!

like 1 minute at the max =]

1 minute

1min or less

31 seconds after power button- 3.5 minutes to load account after log in page.

10 seconds to start up and 20 to log in.
(mind it though cos if its got a bug or an old game on it, it can take up to 20 mins) vista sucks for that sort of thing.

depends on which one
my newest one will start up in 8 or less s
my old one will start up in around 20

it got some Norton antivirus prog, & other prog which runs before I can start anything
So it takes around 3 mins

My laptop takes 40 seconds, thats including me putting my password in, and everything loaded, sweet XD

AMD Mobile Sempron 3400+
Nvidia 6100
2gb DDR2
60gb hd
Xp Pro

From the moment I press my power button, it takes less then then thirty seconds for Windows XP platform to load and that includes over 50 running processes with one antivirus with background scanner and four antispyware programs with background scanners. (I actually have 50 running processes that load on stop up). Not including other programs that don't load on startup.

Plus my anti virus runs a memory scan on startup.

And my CPU, always runs at 1% usage.
