Do you like this dress for me to wear to a wedding?!

Question: I want the opinions of the good people of P&S. I don't like sleeveless dresses or anything too revealing (I like to be relatively covered up and elegant) and I this dress will do the job. Only downside is it's black

You could always accessorise with pink items

A pink clutch, neck scarf and some cute heels would brighten it up a bit

49 quid?? get yourself down to Primark and you can get a complete new wardrobe for yourself for that.

That is beautiful...but like you said, the downside is it's black. I'm not sure about UK tradition, but here in the States, it's a HUGE taboo to wear black to a wedding.

That dress is gorgeous, really lovely and elegant. I'll have a look for some more along similar lines and post them for you, but really love that one.

Whats your fav colour?

I know this one is sleeveless, but maybe teamed with a bolero would be nice as its a gorge dress

There you go a few ideas, i would say for variety you should consider a sleeveless dress teamed with a bolero 95% of the dresses i have seen are seeveless.

Happy shopping xx

Here is a page full of pink dresses, some are a bit tarty but there are some pretty ones in there tooxx

sure ..
as long as you're not a guy ..

looks good to me,,,

looks great.be proud to take you out,but i don't think my mam would let me

I think that it would be fine

Yes, of course! A Gentle-man should be willing, environment deciding what's appropriate, to wear some form of a suit, a 3 peace, if not more. I recommend more, then again that's my views... I guy will thank me later for posting this, even if they should stay sober and still always hydrated, drink somewhat but do recall this: "A boat can float on water, it can sink too." DM 2 wisdom and thanks Jackie for the wisdom. :P
Adding: Did see the dress and if you get in pink, good for you since black is a wedding taboo associated with Death! :( A blessing, but not ever good to have grief. Sorry, never black go with something else, but do appreciate the dress and they should have a hue that's best for you or willing to make it! If not, WTH!

,i went to a wedding last month, and most of the ladies wore black apparently its the new thing to do, as long as you team it up with jewelry bag shoes yes looks nice, remember if you feel nice feel comfy then its the dress for you

I like it..
Its actually gorg !!

well i think it's nice

That dress is gorgeous, really lovely and elegant.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You will look absolutely stunning

ok but a lady codifier would suit better if you are seeking attention

Perhaps you could wear some gold or silver accessories with the dress, this will make it look really classy and not be over the top, good luck.

I don't agree with wearing black to a wedding! Do not wear white, cos you will only upstage the bride!

if that was you in the picture you will be the belle of the ball..if you have the same type of figure you will look great..but wool dresses have the tendency to show all the bulges you don't want to show as it clings to the body when you get hot..the best dresses are made with fabric soft yet firm flowing but not flimsy just below the knee ..revealing but not showy..slinky and suave..not too much bling..pink is a bit too light..maybe a dress colour in between pink and red..or red with wisps of pink and orange..

hmmm. Honestly. you look young in your avatar pic and I think this dress is a little too matronly for you. Look for something younger. And I agree that black is more funeral. Keep looking for something a little more cheerful.
